To breathe new life into Ewing’s Sarcoma research, fundraising is really important. Therefore we have put together some fundraising ideas that you could use if you want to help us cure this cancer!
Fundraising can take many forms, and what works best for you will be influenced by the person undertaking the fundraising, or co-ordinating an event, the challenge itself and the amount of time and effort to get it “up and running” is driven by the individual or team of individuals.
Raising money can be as simple as organising a bucket collection, or more involved such as organising a disco, quiz night or something extreme like skydiving. There really are no limits, and often the most unusual or extreme ideas are the best!
The most important thing to remember is to have fun while you’re doing it – if it’s enjoyable others will want to join in, and if you have fun doing it, you’ll be more likely to succeed in raising money!
How to Fundraise
To raise money easily and quickly, follow these simple steps.
- Decide on an event or activity
- Schedule time to plan
- Find a method of raising sponsorship money, or payment
- Do the event or activity!
To make it easier for you, we are registered with Virgin Money Giving, where it’s really easy to sponsor people and set up sponsorship pages yourself.
Once you’ve completed the activity you’re being sponsored for, the money is collected and donated direct to the Ewing’s Sarcoma Research Trust – it really is that simple!
This isn’t the only way to raise money though, cash and cheques can be paid in at the bank!
