About 80 people are diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma each and every year in the UK. For anyone diagnosed with this form of cancer, treatment takes a long time, involving chemotherapy as well as surgery, radiotherapy or a combination of all three.

Here are the stories of just some people who’ve battled Ewing’s.

  • Mark HughesMark was just 10 when was diagnosed with Ewing’s in his left femur. Tragically, Mark passed away in April 2012, aged 12.

 

  • Ruth Flanagan – Ruth was 15 when she was diagnosed with Ewing’s in her sacroiliac (pelvic) joint.

 

 

  • Charlotte – Charlotte was 4 years old when she was diagnosed with Ewing’s in her left tibia.
